On behalf of the Board of Directors of the World Salsa Federation, Inc., we would like to welcome everyone to the 7th Annual WSF World Professional Salsa Championships and the All-Star Dancesport Championships to be held November 7th and 8th, 2008.  This year I am sure we will celebrate with record attendance at our wonderful facility, the Miccosukee Resort and Gaming in Miami Florida.   If this is a return visit for you, we are glad you have chosen to join us again this year.  If you are a first time attendee, we hope you will enjoy all that the Miccosukee Resort and Gaming facilities have to offer, and will make this an annual pilgrimage. 

  Over 2 days, competitors will have an opportunity to be World Champions in their style and then  go head to head for the title of Undisputed World Professional Salsa Champions. The Undisputed World Professional Salsa Champions will represent the best of Salsa competitive dancing, and will represent the WSF world-wide.  Also included this year will be the World Junior and Youth Salsa Championships. The youth come to this event with unsurpassed energy and enthusiasm. Come watch them compete as these young people will be our future Salsa Stars!!

CAMERAS 

Absolutely NO cameras (video or still) will be allowed into the venue during workshops and competitions. This includes digital still cameras that record motion video. Anyone seen using a camera during a workshop or competition will be asked to take it outside the venue.

Larry Harlow, is one of the founder members of the greatest salsa band in the world "La Fania All Stars" "El Judio Maravilloso", as he is affectionately called by his colleagues, completely revolutionized what is known today as "SALSA". Harlow developed the explosive, Trumpet/trombone sound. He has produced over 260 CD's for various artists and as a leader over 50 cd's including the Masterpiece, "La Raza Latina, a Salsa Suite" in 1978
