On behalf of the Board of Directors of the World Salsa Federation, Inc., we would like to welcome everyone to the 6th Annual World Professional Salsa Championships to be held November 8th - 10th, 2007.  This year I am sure we will celebrate with record attendance at our wonderful facility, the Miccosukee Resort and Gaming in Miami Florida.   If this is a return visit for you, we are glad you have chosen to join us again this year.  If you are a first time attendee, we hope you will enjoy all that the Miccosukee Resort and Gaming facilities have to offer, and will make this an annual pilgrimage.  This year, the World Salsa Federation will host a world record 18 World Salsa Championships!  Over 3 days, competitors will have an opportunity to be World Champions in their style and then  go head to head for the title of Undisputed World Salsa Champions. The Undisputed World Professional Salsa Champions will represent the best of Salsa competitive dancing, and will represent the WSF world-wide.  Also included this year will be the World Junior and Youth Salsa Championships. The youth come to this event with unsurpassed energy and enthusiasm. Come watch them compete as these young people will be our future Salsa Stars!! The WSF is committed to providing new inroads in Salsa worldwide from certifying teachers, giving awards to amateurs for excellence, training and certifying Judges, and having a basis for Salsa as a sport as well as a recreational activity.  The WSF is proud to have Salsa and its syllabus as the official syllabus for the AAU Junior Olympic Games.

Jairo Varela, band leader of Grupo Niche, to receive WSF Lifetime Achievement Award for Music at WSF World Salsa Championships Grupo Niche is one of the world's best known group from and it enjoys great popularity throughout Latin America.   It was formed in 1980 by Jairo Varela, who became producer, director, songwriter, vocalist and guiro player.  Come honor Jairo with Grupo Niche Thursday Night November 8th, as he receives his award.

OFFICIAL KICKOFF PARTY

Come join Laura and I for an unforgettable evening of music, dance, and festivities at the official kickoff party for the World Championships!

The Official WSF Kick-Off party to be held Wednesday, November 7th at Miami's newest Salsa Club, Drake's Nightclub, located at 13754 SW 88th St.   This party will feature a live Salsa band, Salsa dance performances, free t shirt giveaways, DVD's and much, much, more!  Stay tuned!

Get your ticket for a FREE ADMISSION!  Tickets at the the door will be $10.  You can pickup your free admission ticket at Drake's, or the International Dance Studio at 8080 SW 81 Dr. in Miami.  The ad above can't  be cut out and used.

CAMERAS  Absolutely NO cameras (video or still) will be allowed into the venue during workshops and competitions. This includes digital still cameras that record motion video. Anyone seen using a camera during a workshop or competition will be asked to take it outside the venue.	The World Salsa Championships and the All-Star DanceSport Championships will have.....
